Uses

Architects and specifiers are already starting to recognise the beauty and versatility of these finishes in terms of colour and texture; ideally suited to a wide variety of applications from kitchen doors through to wardrobes and bedside tables.

Maintenance:
The vinyl surface offers an easy-clean finish, and high resistance to knocks and scrapes. They are designed to withstand high traffic levels, and will not tear easily. With regular cleaning they will retain their original appearance for many years depending on area of use.

Always carry out a trial in an inconspicuous area first, to ensure cleaning agent suitable. Clean with a mild non-soapy detergent with soft cloth, sponge or soft bristle brush to prevent build up of dirt and staining.

Glazed Volvic lava-stone by Pyrolave is an exciting product with excellent architectural properties.

Extracted from the Nugere crater at the heart of Auvergne's volvic lava

The blocks are extracted by hand from open-air quarry. They are then cut into slabs, processed and glazed.

Texture

Delicate crazing appears on the surface during cooling. These fine lines are the imitable signature of the glazed lava stone.

Form

Having been fired at more than 1000 degrees C. Pyrolave worktops are resistant to very high temperatures. All pieces are undamaged at 300 degrees C.
